Responsibilities
? Identify and evaluate market trends and new technologies, make appropriate fact-based product recommendations for adoption by brand stakeholders.
? Drive supplier selection criteria, evaluate suppliers, manage the RFQ process and final supplier selection.
? Establish strong supplier relationships, effectively manage category supply base, perform advanced and intricate negotiations.
? Negotiate strategic supply agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty and service terms.
? Gather data and conduct BOM cost analysis with the goal of improving.
? Create and maintain project schedules and ensure projects meet the milestones through all stages up to mass production.
? Establish strong operating mechanisms to track progress, identify issues, overcome obstacles, and define recovery plans.
Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration/engineering, supply chain.
? Minimum of 5years of product sourcing or development experience with ODMs in the consumer electronics industry.
? Knowledge of the product development processes as well as understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
? Experienced with tracking and managing component costing and BOM cost.
? Attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
? Project management skills and data analytical skills are major pluses.
? Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
? Strong business sense in identifying areas for improvement and deliver new features/proposals that are scalable and efficient.
? Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities, remains flexible in the face of ambiguity.
? Fluent in both English and Mandarin in wiring and speaking.
