Major Responsibility

1. Support a smooth day-to-day testing operation in the HNI Asia Test Lab;

2. Ensure the necessary standard testing processes and procedures (SOP) are executed, updated and maintained for the HNI Asia Test Lab;

3. Drive compliance to testing standards and maintain the respective testing results and records in an accurately and timely manner;

4. Take ownership in bringing in more value-added technical/engineering capabilities to identify and analyze possible root causes of any product defect;

5. Ensure all machineries are well maintained on a day-to-day basis, as well as calibrated and in functional conditions at all times;

6. Perform any other responsibilities and/or tasks which the reporting supervisor assigns.

Requirements

1. Major in engineering or with equivalent engineering training qualifications;

2. At least 2 years’ working experience in product testing, preferably in a certified test lab, or quality assurance related work;

3. Good command of English and Chinese languages; excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills for dealing with the internal U.S. customers, local team members and supplier;

4. Proactive, organized, detail-oriented and responsible working attitude; and able to prioritize work, lead change, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and meet deadlines;

5. Good knowledge of industrial testing standards, including BIFMA and ISTA;

6. Excellent knowledge and skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; and with good typing skill in English and Chinese;

7. ISO 9000 internal auditor certified or other professional certification is a plus.

8. General understanding of the office furniture, seating or hearth products; of the related business model; and of the suppliers in this industry is also a plus.

9. General understanding of testing machine maintain/repair, or have fixture build knowledge is a plus.
