The Digital Marketing Manager, China is responsible for managing the strategy and execution of digital marketing campaigns to drive demand and lead generation. Using a mix of digital marketing techniques and working closely with Business Leaders, consultants and external partners, the role develops digital campaign plans and executes to deliver on the business digital strategy.
The focus will be on generating digital sales (e-commerce) revenue streams and meeting set targets for lead generation, engagement, leading to an increase in revenue for our Career products and services. The role exercises creativity to design and execute digital campaigns that generate demand; engage and retain our clients; and drive high value sales.
The candidate must have a strong background in digital marketing, and stakeholder management with a flair for turning complex subject matter into thought provoking information a senior business audience can use in their decision making.
The Digital Marketing Specialist should be, at different times, a writer, project manager, critical/creative thinker, storyteller, and communication expert.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, passionate, high energy, organized, detail-oriented, and able to distill complex messages with geographically dispersed staff.
Responsibility:
Campaign Planning
· Engage a range of stakeholders (Business Leaders, Consultants, and Digital Sales) in the development of the annual marketing plan.
· Ensure that each digital campaign has established and agreed targets prior to execution. These should include engagement scores as well as the number of marketing qualified leads into the pipeline to deliver on sales objectives.
· Work with client teams with the intent of increasing retention of current business and expanding share of wallet from existing clients.
· Analyze campaign results for continual improvement.
· Research and understand target audiences in conjunction with appropriate stakeholders (Practice Leaders, Client Managers, Client Services team).
Campaign Execution
· Design digital campaigns – creative execution, message design, channel selection and segmentation.
· Ensure the distribution lists are segmented appropriately and in a way that will maximise our ability to engage with our audiences.
· Ensure the campaigns are loaded into and managed appropriately using our tools – Marketo, SalesForce, and E-commerce platform.
· Establish campaign performance metrics and monitor campaign performance, continually looking for ways to improve demand generation and revenue outcomes.
· Evaluate new indirect sales and marketing approaches which may include outbound telesales, digital (primarily), social media, demand generation and new external business relationships.
Marketing & Communications
· Contribute to Mercer market share and increase value/share of wallet with existing clients.
· Deliver demonstrable return on marketing investment.
· Develop and deliver brand marketing initiatives that are in accordance with agreed budget.
Requirements:
You should have 10+ years’ experience in digital campaign marketing in the B2B or B2B2C space with demonstrable results in developing and executing campaigns, generating demand and filling the sales pipeline.
You should be comfortable executing your campaigns through a variety of channels and take a fully integrated approach to marketing – ensuring media, internal channels and intermediaries are considered in the development of your campaigns. You will have a good understanding of sales and how marketing can drive sales.
You will be expected to contribute ideas and pitch in to build the assets required for your campaigns to be successful.
Technical knowledge - to be successful you will have:
· 10+ years’ experience digital campaign marketing in the B2B or B2B2C
· Demonstrable results in generating demand, nurturing leads and filling the sales pipeline.
· Multichannel experience – social media, events, advertising etc
· Background in marketing for Professional Services, Financial Services, Insurance, Banking or Recruitment
· Experience of Marketo and Salesforce (or other CRM).
· Basic design skills – PowerPoint, Photoshop and InDesign
