We are looking for a cyber security consultant to advise clients who have a requirement to better understand security threats emanating within cyberspace and how to manage them in order to keep their networks secure. Working alongside these clients, the cyber security advisor will assist in the prevention of networks attacks by providing risk-based reviews.

What the role involves:
- Undertaking threat analysis, including intrusion detection / prevention and risk assessments for clients;
- Providing briefings on cyber security policy, strategy and standards;
- Assisting in the development of cyber security requirements for our clients;
- Carrying out security health-checks and reporting on prioritised recommendations;
- Working with a wide variety of clients, in Malaysia and overseas.

What we are looking for:
- Active interest in cyber security, networks, and IT systems monitoring;
- Broad technical and IT security skills across multiple platforms and an understanding of current techniques, including firewalls, encryption, network intrusion detection and prevention;
- Familiarity with authentication techniques, network designs and cyber security policies;
- Demonstrable experience of working on cyber security issues with commercial and/or government clients within the last 3 or more years;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience;
- Strong business skills and ability to appreciate how security and business affect one another;
- Self motivated, able to prioritise work effectively under pressure within a flexible working approach to meeting client requirements;
- Bachelors degree in Information Security, IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics essential.

Desirable:
- Masters or PhD desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CISCO accreditations, or equivalent, desirable.
