Job Description:

1. Be a reliable business partner of company’s marketing related business and division, including but not limited to company brands and product research and development, and develop strong working relationships with clients and legal team members;
2. Provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice and to be a value added contributor and trusted advisor to enhancement of brand equity and business strategy while promoting a legal compliance culture that is constructive and pragmatic;
3. Anticipate, identify, and manage legal and business risk exposure to company in partnership with Finance and other related teams;
4. Provide timely, accurate and commercial legal options/solutions to support the businesses priorities and growth agenda;
5. Conduct legal research of the relevant laws and regulations, generate practical guidance and business insights and integrate legal compliance into business operations;
6. Develop in-house legal tools and policies, conduct trainings to business units and enhance legal and compliance awareness of clients.

                            

Experience and Qualification：

1. Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university in China is a minimum;
2. Education and professional qualifications for a Counsel in China including successful passage of the national legal profession qualification examination;
3. 6-10 years of post-qualification experience at a multinational corporation and/or a leading law firm;
4. Strong technical legal skills, combined with an ability to take a strategic view on the challenges and issues facing the business and the legal function;
5. Rich experience in advising on commercial contracts, risk and compliance management, dispute resolution, as well as practical and solid working experience in the areas of advertisement, promotional activities, label review, intellectual property management, and other market regulating for consuming goods. Working experience in or practicing law for the food industry is a plus;
6. Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) – speaking, reading and writing;
7. Highly-motivated and ownership, desire to collaborate with others and able to drive change management.
