JOB FUNCTIONS & PURPOSE:

1. Prepares test plans, procedures and reports

2. Performs tests in-plant and at project sites in accordance with established test plans and procedures.

3. Prepares problem reports describing test failures and defects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Develops and maintains test platform, test plans, procedures and test cases. Performs tests in plant and at project sites

2. Prepares test reports which record the pass, fail status of planned tests and identify problems reports generated during the tests

3. Prepares problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects

4. Conduct initial review of test results through incorporating analysis of collected data with observed system responses

5. Communicate test observation and results in both oral and written media to other engineering staff, superiors and customers

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:

1. Familiar with software testing process, system integration method, product/project lifecycle model, basic testing method(e.g. test case design, issue tracking process, black/white box test method, functional/interface/performance testing requirement).

2. Computer literacy using special application software such as problem tracking(e.g. ClearQuest), requirement management(e.g. DOORs) and testing management software(e.g. TMSD).

3. Familiar with basic PC OS system and software tools (e.g. Windows, Linux, Word Processing, Spread sheets, SQL Server Databases)

4. Have experience in system level test requirement analysis and test design

5. Have rich experience in requirement analysis(identify validation method, abstract testing point), test design(e.g. positive/negative test scenario define, parameter analysis, boundary value define) and problem analysis (through log file, network data, system reaction to judge the problem point)

6. Have at least one year experience in using and developing of automatic testing tools, performance testing tools, generating of automatic script(e.g. QTP, VB script, Java)

7. Good written and verbal skills in English and Chinese

8. BA or above, major in Computer Sciences, Engineering or closely related field.
