Background

National Lighting (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (“NLSC”) is the China office of The National Lighting Company Limited (“NLC”). Which consists of Gallery, Brilliant AG, Poole Lighting, Endon and Saxby (the “Lighting Group”). In order to fulfil its role, the NLSC provides specialist services including: Supply Chain Management, Product Development, Quality Assurance & Control, Order Processing, Administration, Purchasing & Sourcing and Factory Development.

NLSC is a key contributor to the overall success of NLC and works under the direction NLC and Gallery staff located in the UK.

This Job Description outlines the Quality Assurance & Control role of “Gallery Inspector” which reports into Gallery UK quality department and Gallery Operations Manager in the NLSC office.

Detailed Job Description:

· To check samples and issue report, including production risk assessment, workmanship for any defects, product appearance, construction, labels, etc.

· To conduct pre shipment inspection and issue report, ensure product comply with Gallery requirements in accordance with the Black / Gold Seal, Technical file, color swatch, defect classification, etc.,

· To follow up any quality issues/customer complaints, ensure factories will improve in subsequent production

· To ensure effective communication between factories, Shenzhen office team members and the UK team

· To assist on any extra tasks that the Gallery management may require

Required Experience:

· At least 3 years or above working experience on quality control and production development within a similar field, such as lighting, furniture, mirror, decorations, etc.

· Good understanding of inspection standards, inspection level, sampling size, AQL, etc.

· Good understanding of related industry regulations, such as REACH, RoHS, EUTR, UKFR, BS EN 12521, etc.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Excellent written English and able to understand English technical report and finish independently inspection report in English

· The ability to prioritise and manage your own time and workload effectively whilst remaining calm under pressure

· To communicate effectively throughout the business, with factories and management

Location:

· Fujian, Zhejiang, North China, etc.

· Obey the demands of company and can stay/work somewhere for a long term

National Lighting (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (“NLSC”) is the China office of The National Lighting Company Limited (“NLC”). Which consists of Brilliant AG, Poole Lighting, Endon and Saxby (the “Lighting Group”). These companies are all involved in the design and sourcing of lighting fixtures. NLSC is located in Shenzhen, and works closely with Chinese lighting fixture manufacturers. The role of NLSC is to work in partnership with the Lighting Group to ensure that products sourced from China and supplied to the Lighting Group are consistently and efficiently supplied on time, in full and to specification. In order to fulfil its role the NLSC provides specialist services including: Supply Chain Management, Product Development, Quality Assurance & Control, Order Processing, Administration, Purchasing & Sourcing and Factory Development.
NLSC is a key contributor to the overall success of NLC and works under the direction NLC staff located in the UK and in close partnership with NLC staff.
