ABOUT THE COMPANY

    

Our business is a fast-growing company with headquarters in Europe. We are a leading designer and manufacturer of precision-engineered components and products for the fence, gate, access & perimeter control industry.

    

We are a non-integrated manufacturing company which means that we design & engineer products and have the respective components manufactured by a range of subcontractors. We actively coach these subcontractors about their quality control & manufacturing setup. Afterwards, these products are being assembled in-house, packaged and shipped to our European and American customers.

    

THE ROLE

    

As the sourcing engineer of Fai Bong, will be finding and developing new suppliers in the field of electronics and software. This is a new industry and role in the company. You will be working closely together with our product managers and design engineers. You will be evaluating production capabilities, reliability, and value evaluation for new and existing projects.

    

In this function you report locally to the sourcing manager in China and you will get instructions and support from the local design engineers.

    

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Search new suppliers, collecting information of new suppliers, make short visit for new potential suppliers and developing new suppliers.
• Responsible for suppliers that specialize in electronics and software.
• Understand the manufacturing process of various components to define the target cost prices
• Assess supplier capability, performance, reliability, and cost
• Together with your engineering colleagues your will be aligning requirements and capabilities.
• Analyze and follow market trends to identify cost reduction opportunities
• Negotiate lead times, Minimum order quantities and prices for new and existing projects.
• Assist the sourcing team with the management of existing suppliers and components
• Keep the data in our ERP system correct and up to date.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant working experience in foreign enterprise
• Excellent knowledge in the field of electronics and software especially in the greater Shenzhen area
• Experience with sourcing PCBA, Camera, Lighting, Motor and Gearbox is a big plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Understand the balance between price, quality and reliability
• Ability to prioritize varying requests and timelines
• Eager to learn and work together with internal and external experts
• Flexible, independent team player
• Knowledge in the field of CNC / Machining / Plastic Injection is a plus
• Good command of reading and written English.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook

                                                    

LOCATION

• Position is in Shajing Town, Shenzhen – 800Meters far from metro Line 11 HouTing station.
