The Role:

Morningstar is looking for a self-driven, energetic and proactive marketer to assist with a variety of marketing initiatives in China, with focus on ESG and Sustainable Finance. In this role, you will work with the Sustainalytics’ marketing and Morningstar’s regional marketing teams to create and deliver successful marketing strategies and programs for our key client segments. You will also be responsible for supporting our sales efforts and ensuring that the Morningstar-Sustainalytics brand is clearly and consistently communicated. This is a position based in either Shenzhen, Shanghai or Beijing, and reports to Director of Products & Marketing for Morningstar China.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully manage all aspects of approved ESG and Sustainable Finance marketing programs, from strategy and planning to creative development and delivery
• Coordinate messaging and repurpose content assets from other regions (EMEA, Americas) to maximize awareness and create demand in China. Assets and activities may include email, webinars, social content, brochures, call campaigns, and events that map to appropriate target audiences and customer buying cycle stage
• Develop and manage online content and marketing materials for blogs, webinars, explainer videos – including copywriting and editing.
• Coordinate campaign deliverables across internal cross-functional teams to ensure programs are complete, on budget and achieve target objectives
• Own and manage our ESG and Sustainable Finance micro-site for China
• Execute branding and marketing strategies for building a power brand, strengthening brand equity and ultimately for business growth
• Provide analysis of marketing campaigns to determine ROI and inform future planning
• Collaborate with marketing professionals on a global scale to share best practices
• Plan and execute social media marketing campaigns targeting appropriate China audience.
• Have ability to translate messaging, copy, brochures, and other online and offline content from English to Chinese.

 

Requirements

• Related industry experience in B2B marketing, preferably brand or marketing experience at a financial service firm
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement marketing strategies and supporting tactics
• Around three to five years of experience in/knowledge of the financial services, ESG or sustainable finance/lending industry
• Demonstrated passion for ESG, sustainable development and sustainable investing
• Proven experience in working cross-functionality within an organization
• Strong editorial, research and project management skills
• Have a discipline of data-driven marketing, monitoring KPIs and measuring ROI
• Superior interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent English and Simplified Chinese reading and writing skills
• Experience with a marketing automation platform (such as Eloqua, Marketo and Hubspot) a plus
• Educated to degree level with qualifications that demonstrate a keen interest in marketing and communications is a plus
