Job Purpose / Principle Responsibilities

• Working in welding section of QA/QC department and assign as senior welding engineer for specific project, to support project construction and Bidding to solve all welding problems of the project, communicate and process relationship with client.
• Job Accountabilities / Responsibilities
• Responsible to work with the Quality Team, to prepare/ review and approve the relevant welding procedures for the project / bidding.
• Support project construction and solve the difficult problems during the welding process and quality control process.
• Develop new welding process and technique.
• Communicating with the clients and third parties to solve relevant welding problems.
• Organizing implementation of relevant training works on welding.
• Welding process, heat treatment process, welding technical requirement and preparation of instruction, getting approval of client and the third party.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in English, good working knowledge in Chinese is an additional advantage.
• Solid track record in working as offshore industry such as Jacket, module and process/utility plant as senior welding Engineer role.
• High-level exposure to prefabrication and assembly site.
• A recognized degree in Mechanical/petrochemical /offshore (onshore) engineering etc. from an accredited college or university.
• IWE/CWE or the other relevant professional qualifications.

Experience

• Over 15 years in chemical, Oil and Gas industry (onshore or offshore), and 2 to 3 years working experience in china. Experience in process plant and offshore industry is beneficial
• Thorough knowledge of welding metallurgy, process and equipment, industrial and regulatory standards.
• Rich experience of big International Project welding engineer, and experience of production welding and solving welding problem.

Competencies:

• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an added advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Good organizational and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with project specification and international and/or national standards, code such as DNVGL and ISO/EN and AWS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
• Professional certificates such as IWE/CWE etc.
• With Singapore/Malaysian nationality or equivalent
• Good capacity of preventing and solving the welding problem for project.
• Good capacity of communication and good team cooperation and sharing spirit.
