Summary：
The Project Purchasing Manager or Associate Manager is a key project team member in Global Product Development (GPD) of devices.
The devices are Deep Cleaners, Upright Vacuums, Canisters, Handhold & Stick Vacuums, Robot vacuums, Sweepers, Steam mops, Air purifier.
Responsibilities：
The job holder is accountable for the following strategic purchasing activities
1. Lead RFQ and supplier selection within GPD
a. Deep understanding of business requirements
b. Challenge of specifications to achieve target cost
c. Manage bid package, supplier’s answers on unit price and Tooling
d. Lead supplier selection based on Cost, Quality, Delay
e. Insure suppliers are involved early in the process
f. Represent the other operational functions on new product development teams.

2. Strategic Costs Management
a. Negotiate prices with suppliers at each project stage depending on Cost drivers and Technical changes
b. Obtain detailed Cost Breakdown in order to provide key insights to Project team
c. Establish and keep BOM costs sheets updated during project
d. Make product life cycle pricing available to the project team based on the best estimates of current and future supplier costs.
e. Push cost optimization through Should Cost analysis with Cost Engineer
f. Ensure Best practices on cost optimization are in place

3. Contracting
a. Negotiate Legal Agreements with suppliers in close collaboration with Legal Department
b. Ensure Legal Agreements are signed on time

4. Represent Purchasing and Operations in GCLT (not for everybody)
a. Have a global overview of all new projects of the category
b. Represent all Project Purchasing Managers

Qualifications：
1. Degree minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Purchasing field.
2. Specific concentration: Purchasing degree/background preferred.
3. Experience level: A minimum of five years experience in Purchasing. Preferably in the Consumer Products or Automotive Industry.
4. Ability to work in cross-functional teams
5. Ability to manage multiple projects.
6. Must be able to work with all levels within the organization.
7. Solid business perspective
8. Ability to direct others in developing sound and creative solutions to complex problems on a timely basis.
9. Positive attitude and the ability to build good working relationships with others, both internal and externally.
