Position: Logistics Specialist

Job Description

1. Conduct logistics activities in Far East, monitor vendors shipment arrangements skillfully.
2. Work closely with Far East logistics head, other team members, and US logistics team to play good teamwork.
3. work with our Far East team and US staff in a variety of support functions at the various factories that supply products to US Company.
4. Contact local offices of carriers, forwarders, and direct shipment customers from time to time in support of our suppliers.
5. Responsible for specific duties that will include but not be limited to:

· Follow up on open Purchase Orders.

· Monitor supplier’s shipping arrangements.

· Instruct the suppliers on the specific shipping arrangements.

· File reports on the production schedules and the PO completion status for all Lasko suppliers.

· Communicate with Lasko’s direct shipment customers’ local offices for inspection and shipping instructions.

· Communicate with the carriers or forwarders’ local offices in regard to booking information and vessel space allocation.

· Complete bookings and commercial documentation for designated direct shipment customers.

· Update the necessary information for customers doing business with us on direct shipments.

· Assist buyers and US staff for the sample delivery to the appropriate places.

· File ISF 10+2 via cargo smart for all our domestics shipment.

· Assist where necessary in the day-to-day operation of US Company in China.

6. May take busines trips as required if necessary, to support the business interests of US Company.

Skills and Qualifications

1. University graduate or above with at least three years working experience, prior working experience in shipping/logistics or secretary field would be an advantage.
2. Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
3. Pleasant, patient, careful, strong, highly responsible, self-motivated, detailed oriented, willing to learn and able to work under pressure.
4. Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skill.
5. Proficient in computer skill.
