We are currently seeking a designer to be based at our factory in Shenzhen. The successful applicant will follow the design and development of bags from concept to production. Previous experience in the bag industry is not essential, but knowledge of design methods, manufacturing processes and materials would be an advantage. Recent graduates in art and design are strongly encouraged to apply.

You will work closely with management who are native English speakers (American and British), therefore a good understanding of English is desirable.

Primary responsibilities:

Work with the development team and customers to create innovative bag concepts.

Visualise designs and produce presentations using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Create and edit artwork suitable for print.

Essential skills:

A good level of written and spoken English.

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Microsoft Word and Excel.

A discerning eye for detail and a keenness to learn.


Other requirements (not essential, but preferable):

Experience in using 3D design software.

Knowledge of technical drawing.

An interest in graphic design and photography.

Ability to freehand sketch.

An interest in fashion trends and related industries.

Written and spoken Mandarin.

Written and spoken Cantonese.

Create paper patterns and operate a sewing machine to produce workshop mock-ups.

You must be able to work in Shenzhen 5 days per week (accommodation is provided).
