Position Overview

Owns, manages and delivers factory (Manufacturing partner) readiness for Products on the Company’s Roadmap and ensure manufacturing meet volume, quality, cost targets. This includes ownership sustainable supply of products on company’s roadmap, and ownership of Engineering change request execution in contract manufacturer, regular operation monitoring and management to drive to Operation/Manufacturing excellence and sustainable improvement. This position has high visibility at the executive level and ability to influence operation/program direction.

Key Responsibilities:

For sustaining projects:

• Drive Manufacturer(s) performance in terms of Delivery, Cost and Performance. Ensure Contract Manufacturer(s) meets delivery target, fulfill demand and supply request with excellent quality and optimum cost.
• Responsible for driving effective communication channels exist between Sonos and the Contract Manufacturer(s) and acting as an escalation route in exceptional circumstances.
• Verification of Exceptional expense items incurred within the Contract Manufacturer(s) in line with contractual guidelines. Manage and control factory expenses within budget and continuously drive for cost savings activity from factory operation standpoint.
• Management of manufacturing critical issues within the Contract Manufacturer(s). Lead Sonos functional (Planning, Material, Engineering, Quality) and Contract Manufacturer(s) team in excursion management.
• Execute and implement Engineering Change Request/Order at Contract Manufacturer(s).
• Coordinate and lead End of Life (EOL) product activity with smooth ramp down plan and minimal inventory exposure.
• Accountable for RMA repair operation at Contract Manufacturer(s). Lead CM team in ensuring B-Stock supply meets demand. Manage Contract Manufacturer(s) RMA performance by leading, establishing and driving continuous improvement on RMA process.

Qualifications:

• Strong leader with 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations/Program Management role
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, practices and procedures, as well as internal policies and procedures
• A strong team player and is highly self-motivated and willing to take ownership.

• Experience working in CE Industry; audio product experience preferred;
• Significant experience in engaging with top-tier Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers, particularly in China.
• Engineering degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university

• Good understanding of product development processes, particularly for high-technology products.
• Closely coordinate development/operations and launch activities between internal and CM teams to ensure availability of support
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with external and internal "customers" and "partners" both in Chinese and English.
