Position Summary:
The IT Technician will take a site lead leadership role supporting all IT initiatives. This successful individual will work effectively to ensure strategic projects and tasks are delivered. The ultimate focus of the position is improving Information Client Service’s ability to make and meet its commitments.
Detailed Description:
Our IT Technician will be responsible for ensuring a focused customer service approach. The role is expected to provide strong leadership to promote best practices in managing IT help tickets to ensure successful delivery. Strong presence and excellent organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organization.
Job Description:
This position would provide Client Services, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure support in Asia (Shanghai, Beijing, Chu Pei, Malaysia). Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead all IT project locally from their initial planning stage through the execution of deliverables and post project closing reviews.
Provide friendly, customer-focused support centered on communication and follow through to confirmed resolution of all support requests
Prompt identification, analysis, and diagnosis of all support issues providing customers with frequent updates on the status of their support request including an ETA for a resolution as well as deploying a loaner machine to end users whose issue is preventing them from completing their job responsibilities
Monitor Service Desk ticket queue to ensure all support requests are addressed in a timely fashion and are assigned to the proper IT team in accordance with our service level agreements and knowledge base instructions
Ensure all support requests received via chat, walk-up, telephone, and email are properly submitted to our ITSM tool in accordance with documented policies
Proper tracking of all hardware and software assets within asset management tools and in accordance with our asset management best practices
Take part in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of all Support Desk best practices, protocols, and knowledge base articles
Participate in all Service Desk projects with the expectation that all assigned tasks will be completed by given end date
Configure, deploy, and support Apple iOS and Android devices
Organization:
The successful candidate will report to the Client Service IT Director.
Requirements:
Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
A+ Certification or ability to demonstrate equivalent IT skill level
ITIL certification is a plus
Experience with ServiceNow
Must have 4+ years of IT industry experience
Experience with desktop/laptop running Windows 7 & 10 Professional
Experience with Dell PC systems
Experienced in managing Microsoft Windows OS life-cycle
- Metric driven to achieve target service level agreements
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Understanding of basic Network topology including basic connectivity troubleshooting techniques
Strong PC troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong documentation skills and command of the English language
Ability to work under stress and respond to and resolve a broad range of customer requests
Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office 365 applications
Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to use Microsoft Teams
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Microsoft SCCM PC imaging experience
- Ability to work effectively with international teams
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management
- Independent follow-through ability and keen attention to details
Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
