Planning and Material Control Assistant

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our business is a fast-growing company with headquarters in Europe. We are a leading designer and manufacturer of precision-engineered components and products for the fence, gate, access & perimeter control industry.

We are a non-integrated manufacturing company which means that we design & engineer products but have the respective components manufactured by a range of subcontractors. We actively coach these subcontractors about their quality control & manufacturing setup. The final products are assembled in-house, packaged and shipped to our European and American customers.

THE ROLE

The Production and Material Control Assistant is a hands-on position responsible for assisting the Production and Material Controller in the fields of purchasing and shipping of materials and goods.

Responsibilities

· Assure on time delivery of purchased parts

· Arrange on time shipping according to Sales forecast and customer orders.

· Assist the purchasing team in placing purchase orders.

· Communicate priorities to vendors.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field preferred

· 2 - 5 years of experience in purchasing and/or logistics

· Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics) is a plus

· Flexible and able to adapt to a changing work requirements

· Eager to learn about new products and help other team members

· Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Good troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

· Team player, effective communicator

· Friendly personality with a basic understanding of English.

LOCATION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Position is in ShaJing Town, Shenzhen, China – 800 Meters from metro Line 11 HouTing station
