Job Summary:

Quality Manager will manage all aspects of quality related to suppliers and sourced products for the Home Fragrance division in the APAC region. These responsibilities include activities related to identifying and mitigating risks, preventing and investigating quality problems, and driving corrective action and continual improvement. Manages APAC-based Quality Engineers. Works directly with suppliers to qualify new products, resolve defective material issues, and foster ongoing development. Responsible for ensuring product quality and specification compliance for all products sourced for the Home Fragrance Division. Travel is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of supplier quality for the Home Fragrance division in the APAC region, including a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.
• Work collaboratively with other functions, including, but not limited to:

o Sourcing to ensure effective and ongoing qualification of existing, new, and potential suppliers, including supplier quality audits as required.

o Product Engineering to ensure current and accurate specifications are in place and provided to the supplier for all sourced products

o New Product Development Quality to ensure appropriate Advanced Product Quality Planning is conducted for all new sourced products

o Manufacturing Quality to address the needs related to raw materials and manufactured product components

o Cross-functional teams to identify and control potential quality issues in new and existing products.

• Ensure that root cause analysis and corrective action processes are in place and followed to support the timely and permanent resolution of all failures to meet established quality requirements
• Foster a robust culture of continual improvement that extends to the ongoing development of supplier capabilities
• Ensure that all quality, safety and compliance requirements are communicated and enforced
• Provide quality technical support to various functional groups as needed
• Lead and manage the Advanced Product Quality Planning process with suppliers for sourced products in the APAC region
• Review and analyze customer complaints related to sourced finished products originating in APAC, and initiate investigation, collaborating with internal/external groups to help determine root cause of customer/consumer defects, complaints, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyze data from a variety of sources to identify quality improvement opportunities and opportunities to reduce Cost of Quality.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize data in reports and dashboards and provide recommendations for improvements, corrective action, and other initiative opportunities, including Cost of Quality reduction.
• Track and report supplier-related performance metrics both internally and to the supplier.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical engineering or science discipline.
• 3-5 years Supplier Quality experience preferred may be substituted with longer term operations/manufacturing or other related experience
• Extensive knowledge of quality methods and systems is required (statistics, reliability, sampling, auditing, and formal QMS).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for dealing with all levels of internal and external suppliers and customers
• Extensive problem-solving skills
• Planning, Organizing and Negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
• Excellent leadership skills with the capability to manage a small team
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and conflict management skills
• Experience with APQP and PPAP, including Process Flow, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, etc.
• Experienced background in various types of manufacturing. Working knowledge in the plastics, metals or electric commodities is preferred
• Consumer products industry experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected
