Introduction:

Strax Shenzhen is part of the Strax Group, specialists in mobile accessories and consumer electronics, with the Headquarter in London. The Strax Shenzhen office is responsible for new product development, quality assurance and supply chain. Strax Group owns the audio brand Urbanista and a couple of other brands, which will be the main focus for this position.

 

Personalities:

·       Eager to accept new challenge and lead all Audio product development programs, from concept to MP.

·       Enjoy working with external partners and fostering collaboration with internal resources.

·       Have desire to build and lead an Audio project management team as well as creating new brands.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Provide project management oversight of external teams developing next generation Audio and consumer electronic products, across the entire product life cycle.

·       Work with the Product development team during the new product development to assure the best quality of audio products.

·       Review and improve the existing products in the portfolio to constantly make the quality better.

·       Monitor the market to discover and understand new inventions and technologies that can be used in our products.

·       Develop, document, and deploy new processes, with initial focus on audio device development under design controls.  Ensure our products are compliant with the relevant internal and regulatory requirements.

 

Skills & attributes:

·       Sufficient familiarity with Audio development processes and software developments.

·       Working knowledge of high-level hardware design & development processes across a wide range of disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, acoustics, industrial design, usability/human-factors, and manufacturing.

·       Exceptional technical problem solver, with ability to scope out, plan, and lead others to investigate and solve challenging problems 

·       Exceptional electronic engineering knowledge, to assure best product quality

·       Strong knowledge of headphone/TWS acoustic structures and enclosure/porting design

·       Experience with active noise cancellation technology is highly desirable

·       Thorough understanding of acoustic test and measurement systems and techniques

·       Good understanding of how audio signals are perceived by the listener (psychoacoustics)

·       Experience using 3D CAD tools.

·       Solid interpersonal skills

·       Frequent travel to factories is required.

Education & Experience:

·       BS required in Acoustical or Electrical Engineering, MS preferred

·       5+ years of direct acoustic design experience of high-performance portable audio products

·       2+ years of hands-on acoustic test experience

·       Experience developing consumer products or with related technologies or applications preferred.

·       Experience from work with international companies
