GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for sourcing activities within a business unit especially for developing the new qualified vendors in Asia. S/he will have direct interaction with the defined BU leadership teams in their attainment of sourcing guidance, new products, and consultation on sourcing related financials and strategies with leadership, design and oversight of defined sourcing process improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Achieve components direct sourcing activities in a daily base and maintain library samples in systematic format.

· Transform our US, UK and WM Card attachment/tip-on/material on request into action plan, and provide leadership, direction and motivation to achieve targets.

· Provide quality service in price negotiation technique, manufacture process knowledge and material safety knowledge.

· Set up and maintain proper data base in QB system according to corporate standards.

· Handle other day-to-day operation activities with Sourcing Team.

· Prepare weekly reports and meetings.

· Travel to source for new items.

· Complete other duties as assigned by the company.

Qualifications & Experiences:

· University Degree or above.

· At least 4 years relevant working experience with component products.

· Experience in order handling with international customers.

· Independ work and “problem solve” ability.

· Good knowledge of common quality standards.

· Experience in managing a big supplier base and capable of sourcing new items.

· Willing to travel/ visit factories.

· Fluency in both speaking and written English (CET-6 or above) & Mandarin.
