Description:

The responsibility of the FAE is to promote the right Semtech optical devices for new opportunities in PON, Wireless and Datacom application, follow up the design activities, cooperate with distributors, sales, AE and BU teams to achieve design-ins and design-wins.

Essential duties:

• Look for new design-in opportunities for Semtech optical solution from low data rate 2.5G to high data rate 400G

• Demonstrate and promote the appropriate Semtech solutions to customers to achieve design-ins

• Review customer designs to ensure customer’s design is optimized for functionalities and performance

• Follow up the design activities and actively drive and achieve design-wins

• Proactively working with Product Marketing/Sales & Design/AE to resolve customer technical issues during the product development cycle

• Track and update the design activities in Semtech salesforce

• Provide competitive information and feedback to sales/marketing team

• Share success stories and new opportunities with sales/FAE team

• Develop detailed knowledge of Semtech products and become technical expert to the customers

  Requirements:

• BS degree in Electronic Engineering or communication Engineering

• Minimum of 3 years R&D experience in optical module developing

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar customer support role in the optical module industry is preferred

• Understanding and experience of high speed schematics and PCB design

• Knowledge of basic flows of firmware/GUI running is required

• Knowledge of the fundamental of optical chips/assembly is required

• Good knowledge of Analogue and Digital/MCU circuit design is preferred

• Familiar with Semtech product is preferred

• Basic knowledge of IC’s design/manufacture/test/storage is preferred

• Experience of using measurement equipment to perform key parametric measurements using equipment such as Bit Error Rate Testers, Optical Attenuators, High Speed real- time/sampling scopes, etc.
