Job Description: The Platform Application Engineer(PAE) is primary a Sr. Hardware Engineer with deep Ethernet Controller product or SoC MAC/PHY IP development experience. The PAE acts as consultant to provide deep dive technical support to customers in LAN product or Switch/fabric development.

In this position, you will be responsible to enable the key ND (Networking Division) customers to adopt Intel Ethernet controller and SoC MAC/PHY IP through deep dive and pro-active hardware technical support.
Job Description: Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Intel new networking technology training, demo, enabling and feature customization support.

· Support customers in market analysis, product architecture discussion, hardware schematics and layout design review, SI analysis, power on support, issue debug, root cause and fix, onsite troubleshooting as necessary.

· Work as program/project manager to coordination internal/external stakeholders, to drive customer issue to successful resolution.

· Prepare collateral material as needed to capture methods and demonstrate the result.

· Feedback customers/market request to division.

Qualifications

You should possess a Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in Computer Science/EE with more than five years’ experience in Ethernet networking related products development. Additional qualifications include:

· Familiarity with IEEE802.3 standard, TCP/IP, PCI-SIG Spec, DMTF spec., 10G/40G Ethernet, SoC, MAC/PHY architecture.

· Development experiences in Ethernet Product, ToR switch, Switch Fabric, network communications, PC motherboard design and debug with lab equipments as high speed scope, logic analyzer, network analyzer, etc.

· Good experience in design of high-speed as PCIe, XAUI, SERDES, KX, KR, SFI, proficient in Cadence EDA tools, good understanding of signal integrity, HSPICE simulation, and ESD, EMI and EMC etc.

· Experience with PCIe bus analyzers and logic analyzers would be an added advantage

· Experience with SoC based Storage/Gateway/Switch product development.

· Basic understanding of BIOS, Linux*kernel driver, Windows* driver, basic debug capability.

· Experience in customer technical support, demonstrating strong customer orientation and result orientation

· Strong analytic and problem solving skills

· Fluent and effective communication, presentation and documentation skills, both written and verbal in Mandarin and English

· Self-motivated, multi-task effective, ability to work independently and also in teams

· Ability to travel
