Department Description
The Global IT Incident and Request Management (IRM) organization is responsible for supporting Oracle's global employee base by providing a 24x7 Global Service Desk (GSD) and infrastructure monitoring and response. The Service Quality team (part of IRM) provides documentation in the form of knowledge articles and solutions for common problems.

Brief Posting Description
Assists with analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.

Detailed Description
As part of a software project implementation team, provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user needs. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business specifications. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Job Requirements
Job duties are varied and complex; independent judgment needed. May have project lead role. Prefer 5 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

The Service Quality team member responsibilities include (not limited to):

Publish content per techincal writing/publishing standards
Provide technical review of documentation
Test & validate KM content prior to publishing
Validate clarity of document
Work with or is a Contributor (SME)
Train & coach Contributors (SME) to author solutions to quality standards
Review & edit unpublished documents in workflow for assigned area(s) per KM standards
Ensure training is updated as needed
Act as liaison between support teams

Skills:

Strong analytical & technical skills
Strong English writing, communication and translation skills a must
Japanese writing and communication skills preferred
