Job Description 


  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  

The candidate will be responsible for support microchip USB, Ethernet, Clock and Analog products. USB silicon included USB2.0/USB3.0 hub, USB PHY, USB bridge, USB PD. Ethernet silicon included PHY, L2 switch, Bridge and controller. Analog products included Power Management, Mix-Signal, Interface, Clock & Timing products. The candidate must have strong experience of high-speed signal hardware design.

  

Experience in high speed signal design is preferred. such as USB, Ethernet, high-speed clock, FPGA design experience.

  

 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  

  • Co-work with marketing and sales team to promote microchip USB and Ethernet silicon

  • Training distributor FAEs and customer engineers.

  • Review customer schematic and PCB layout

  • On-site support to speed up customer issues & problem-solving schedule, drive project to revenue.

        

 

  

REQUIREMENTS: 

  

  • Experience of at least one technology USB and Ethernet, Programming experience in Linux is plus.

  • experience in USB2.0 and USB3.0 development, knowledge in USB2.0/3.0 protocol

  • experience in USB Type-c docking and Power adapter development, knowledge in USB PD/Type-C protocol is plus.

  • knowledge in USB class specification, such as USB hub, HID, MSC, CDC.

  • knowledge in USB signal/PCB design and USB Compliance-Test and USB-IF Test.

  • knowledge in Ethernet 802.3 specification, included physical layer, Link layer and MAC interface for 10M/100M/1000M

  • knowledge in Ethernet MAC interface such as MII, RMII, SGMII, RGMII, and so on

  • knowledge in PHY and switch work mechanism and advance protocol STP, RSTP, VLAN, QoS.

  • knowledge in Ethernet signal/PCB design and Ethernet Compliance-Test.

  • Knowledge in power tree design(LDO/DC-DC/PMIC) of embedded system.

  • Knowledge of OpAmp/ADC/Sensor/CAN/LIN.

  • Knowledge of system clock/buffer design.

  • Knowledge of embedded system design.

  • should be self-starters and project-oriented; and should possess good interpersonal skills as team members on projects.
