POSITION SUMMARY  

Purpose


To support gas selling through promoting and implementing Air Products gas applications technology and equipment in various industries, such as EPAT (Electronics Packaging, Assembly and testing), MP (Metal Processing), CPIC (Chemical Process Industry and Industrial Cryogenics) etc. The jobholder’s main responsibilities are to support the commercial teams on contract signing, technical selling, implementation of marketing plans with the marketing team, to provide technical service to new and existing customers and to work with AT (Advanced Technology) to develop new applications.  This person is the key customer-facing technical expert for the above-mentioned industries in defined territory.


Nature and Scope


1,  The jobholder is a technical expert in this industry segment and can talk to customers within that industry to understand their process and requirement; then determine how AP technology and products and services can be used to improve the customers’ process.

2,  Besides leading the efforts to sell AP products and services by leveraging our applications technology and know-how, the jobholder’s responsibilities also cover project management, marketing, industry network development, new idea generation, and deliver training to sales teams and other necessary functions.

3,  To support implementation of Air Products Marketing Plans and Action Plans.

4,  To commercialize the new gas applications and services.

5,  To work with Advanced Technology and Application Equipment on the development of new application



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


1.      Meet with potential customers to: (a) present technology; (b) demonstrate economic feasibility; (c) structure general business parameters; and (d) recommend action plans.

2.      Identify the need and scope; work out technical proposal; carry out field test/trial if needed.

3.      Sign new business through identification and development of prospects, preparation of technical proposals, and participation in joint selling efforts with sales personnel.

4.      Coordinate with region and other personnel (such as Engineering, Customer station) to ensure proper specifications and timely installation of supply systems and equipment.

5.      Conduct start-ups in customers’ plants, collect data, evaluate and make changes to process parameters as required, and train customer operating personnel.

6.      Maintain existing accounts through periodic contact with field personnel and make recommendations for specific actions.

7.      Understand and implement proper safety procedures.

8.      Work with AT for new idea generation, new offerings evaluation and development, identification and conducting the beta trial. 

9.      Working with Marketing, Advanced Technology, Commercial and other stakeholder to develop and conduct industry strategic and tactical plan.

10.   Prepare technical papers, feature articles, and assist in developing brochures and other technical literature.  Conduct training and technical seminars for field sales personnel, prospects and customers.




JOB REQUIREMENTS



1,  University degree in Chemical Engineering, Microelectronic, or similar Engineering fields;

2,  Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Chemicals, Electronics, Heat Treatment industry;

3,  Excellent self-learning skill and willing to learn various processes and applications in different industries;

4,  Self-initiation, result driven, can-do attitude;

5,  Excellent communication skills;

6,  Fluent English language skill.
