As the sustainability officer you will be responsible to oversee the various tasks needed to transform GPA to a more sustainable company.

Sustainability is comprised of 7 key elements:

• Sustainability through design.
• Environmental product declaration & Certification.
• Social Corporate responsibility.
• Energy & Carbon.
• Water.
• Environmental Managment System.
• Chemical compliance.

The various tasks will relate to one of the 7 elements or others of similarity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop a library of sustainable materials samples.

2. Research alternatives to current non sustainable packaging treatments, including going to factories to understand in detail alternatives, risks and costs.

3. Work with project teams to development sustainable packagings.

4. Oversee the implementation of the carbon disclosure program requirements GPA is committed to. Verifying data provided by factories, with assistance of local team, before submitting reports to our clients.

5. Work with various standard organizations (UL/SGS/others) to understand upcoming regulations changes and requirements affecting packagings in our target markets.

6. Attend alternative sustainability materials trade shows & workshops to expand knowledge of various solutions out in market.

7. Ensuring our client’s sustainability measuring and reporting requirements are delivered on time, in full and validated:

? Sustainable paper and board program (FSC/PEFC) - Quarterly

? Sustainable plastic program - Quarterly

? CRS Tracker (SEDEX status) - Quarterly

? CDP CO2 & Water Disclosure - Annual

? SEDEX portal management, regular review of status/CAPs, review when bringing new factories on board - Annual

? End to end - CO2/Product measure - Annual.

8. Additional tasks as defined by EU Ops. Director or COO.

Requirements：

1. 8+ years' working experience in Printing&Packaging industry or Display field;

2. Rich experience at quality, customer service, team leading and executive management;

3. Fluent English as working language;

4. Good at communication， excellent teamwork spirit;

5. Anti-pressure ability.

Project work reporting to: EU Operations Director who oversees all sustainability efforts within the group.

Local work reporting to: Manager of Quality

Work location: Shenzhen China with frequent trips around China and occasionally abroad.

You will work side by side with our China team (Creative and engineering team, project managers, QA and QC team) & frequent communications with our EU, US and Mexico teams.
