    Scope of Responsibility: 

The Communications Specialist uses strong communication and copywriting skills to build and strengthen NCIC Immersion’s image with current and prospective parents, students, government agencies, and faculty. He or she manages all communication channels with these audiences to build positive relationships with the school. Building relationships and developing a broad and deep knowledge of the NCIC Immersion community, which spans Eastern and Western culture, is a necessity that the Communication Specialist must be comfortable meeting.

• Deeply understand and support school mission and goals of the school.
• With the Chinese principal and other stakeholders, identify key events and opportunities for showcasing the school's key attributes
• Create and edit content for variety of school publications including the public website and Wecom presence
• Coordinate audiovisual recording of events; capture images of events and interview relevant students or school personnel for publicity purposes
• Manage archive of media assets for use by departments
• Assist in organizing promotional and intake events that will bring prospective parents and students, liaising with central office as necessary

Major Duties And Responsibilities:

o    Collaborate with various departments in organizing quarterly Parent Education Forums to build a shared understanding of the school’s mission, curriculum and pedagogies

o    Assist in performing translation and interpretation duties for Parent Conferences and other school wide parent, school events/activities for the Director and Principals if needed

o    Provide support and assistance in all events.

o    Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or the Principals.

• Bachelors Degree in journalism, communications, or marketing
• Experience in photography and/or graphic design preferable, with an ability to effectively leverage multimedia across a variety of physical and electronic media
• Working knowledge of photo- and video-editing software
• Minimum of two years experience in a similar position; experience in a Western overseas organizational environment desirable
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills; language proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Flexibility in adjusting to organizational growth and change
• Interest in Chinese student preparation for higher education in western English-speaking universities
• Willingness to be part of a professional learning community i.e. a community focused on learning for all stakeholders including students, parents, faculty and local staff

学校“浸入式双语教育改革实验”课题被列为深圳市教育研究十一五重点课题，在这一课题的引领下，学校的双语教育研究正在蓬勃发展，如今中小学教育已经形成了“融合东西方文化，走双语教育道路”的独特教育风格。从初中开始，就设计完成国家规定的“义务教育基础课程”和“剑桥国际课程”的两套教学课程体系。由来自全国各地和世界各地的优秀中外教师强强联手，坚持中国传统教育特色，开展丰富多彩的文化活动，营造浓郁的双语氛围，借助传统文化和国际性的课程设置，努力打造多元化、国际化的学习乐土，培养具有良好道德品质、健全人格特征、自信自强、乐学善学的未来世界人才。

我校高中执行英国剑桥考试委员会（CIE）研制开发的IGCSE和A-LEVEL国际课程体系。IGCSE（普通中等教育证书）是专门为中四和中五（相当于国内高一、高二）学生设计的课程体系。A-LEVEL（普通教育高级证书）是与IGCSE直接衔接的高级程度课程。学生可凭A-LEVEL成绩直接报读全世界160多个国家和地区的上万所大学。2011年，我校首届高中毕业生全部入读英国、美国、加拿大以及中国香港等国家和地区世界排名前50名大学。

实践证明，把我们主要的注意力除主课程之外分一部分给艺术和体育，再分一部分给社会实践，我们的教育就趋向于完整了。让孩子们从小进入文化艺术与体育的时间越早，层面越广泛，越有利于他们合作能力、想象力和创造力的形成。学校开办了艺术培训中心，跆拳道训练基地，每年举办艺术节、体育节、科技节、双语节等，为培养孩子们的艺术修养、增强特色体育素养。除此以外，学校开展形式多样的社会实践活动，让学生走进社会，认读社会，培养他们的社会责任感。2011年，我们启动了交换生项目，与澳洲布里斯班的两所学校分别建立了姊妹学校，让学生走出国门感悟异域文化提供了便利条件，这也是学校丰富多彩的办学形式之一。
