Responsibilities:

    

Leading a group of buyers to track the progress of material purchasing to make sure all material purchasing on time and the price under approved

    

Reviewing/approving purchase requisitions, approving purchase price variances and controlling excess and obsolete costs

    

Working with project management and production planner to determine when to bring material in for production

    

Conduct cost saving and inventory control

    

Manage supplier relationships and develop strategic supply base for the assigned commodities

    

Able to source new vendors at affordable price, increase vendors’ capacity

    

Identify and implement cost improvement initiatives to meet annual savings objectives

    

Monthly supplier performance review and yearly supplier audit with cross-function

    

Skills/Requirements:

    

Bachelor degree major is not restricted

    

At least 10 year or above experience in purchase of direct material preferable in homeware industry

    

Responsible,  strong team work,  a Self-starter with strong problem solving skills and communication and negotiation capabilities

    

Excellent material planning and purchasing skills

    

Outstanding supply base development and management capabilities

    

Proficient with ERP system, esp. SAP

    

Good command of English is preferred
