Respponsibilities:

? Development of injection molding processes for new materials and new part designs to meet a wide range of product performance and cosmetic requirements.
? Collaborate with in region manufacturing and quality team to organize trials and gather results and take diligent notes.
? Oversee and organizing design of experiment for key injection molding processing parameters.
? Develop collaborative relationships with molding suppliers as well as Apple plastic suppliers.
? Audit molding vendors process parameters, material handling, and moisture analysis.
? Perform short shot studies on new tools/materials to corelate back to mold flow simulations

Requirements:

? BS preferred or requires 3+ years in the injection molding or materials industry.
? General knowledge organic materials including plastics, adhesives, and coatings.
? Understanding of the components of an injection molding tool, including cooling systems, hot runners, and in tool sensors.
? Deep understanding of injection molding processing parameters and molding machine components effect on molded part quality
? Strong English written and oral communication skills are necessary.
? Frequent travel within China is required.
