JOB PURPOSE

Manage and direct all seafreight functions which include but not limited to budgeting, operations, client management, warehouse & terminal management.

Allocate suitable manpower and resources in order to maximize the return to the company.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

*             Identify, correlate and assess manpower, operational, technical and personnel problems and find or develop construction solutions

*             Participate in the preparation and control of the operating budget

*             Monitor established performance indicators (KPI/Control Items) including variance reports, operational reports, quality reports, initiate corrective actions as required

*             Establish and maintain excellent business relations with customers, agents, shipping lines, customs and other local business partners

*             Initiate, manage, delegate department improvement projects

*             Ensure a 100% data integrity and the proper management of information

*             Act as liaison between the operations departments and various company departments in the resolution of operational problems

*             Recruit, train and manage assigned personnel to meet the company requirements; conduct performance evaluations and be responsible for coaching and counseling

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS

*             To build up a good local relationship with shipping lines. (regular meeting is needed, at least once a month)

*             To reduce the AR for local charges.

*             Try to sell local charges to the overseas nominated business.

*             Pass the related sales lead to sales team timely.

BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

*             Bachelor Degree or above

*             Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics

*             Good English

*             Possess good communication skills and influence skill

*             English communication skills

*             Good skills on Microsoft office.
