Responsibilities

• Based in Shanghai, this role is responsible for directing the finance and accounting functions of our offices in China.

• Ensure the financial integrity of the general ledger, routine and ad hoc reporting, a strong internal control environment and compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

• Actively monitoring cash flow, maximising reporting capabilities of the accounting and invoicing systems, and adding a layer of interpretation and analysis to reports produced by the Finance Dept.

• Effectively manage, motivate and develop the Finance teams in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting or related discipline.

• Recognised accountancy qualification; ACCA, CPA or equivalent.

• Experience working in Big 4 accountancy firms, and at least 6 years’ commercial experience gained in an MNC environment.

• Must have proven ability to function effectively in a matrix organisation structure.

• Solid experience in financial and management accounting and strong systems background.

• Good leadership skills; hands-on experience in managing accounting teams in the Chinese Mainland.

• Willingness to be hands-on.

• Strategic thinker with outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.

• A positive can-do attitude and willingness to tackle problems.

• A flexible approach to problem-solving.

• Sound judgment, diplomacy and tact.

• The confidence to interact with senior management and to present at board level.

• Good influencing, communication and presentation skills.

• Excellent command of English and Mandarin.
