Senior Sourcer /Sourcing Supervisor

  

  

 Brief description of the position:

    

Contribute to the company by proposing new items, follow up inquiries and where necessary propose new factories. Because our company is acting in a wide field of categories the ideal candidate has strong roots in electronics but is eager to learn and develop themselves in other categories as well.

    

Job description

• Follow up product inquires and propose range of items with detailed RFQ overview
• Provide updates on trends in the market and propose new items
• Improve product sharing between teams by setting up new product database
• Propose new qualified factories
• Source and recommend new factories
• Cost down - monitor tendency of market and material, negotiate with factory to cost down
• Supplier management in cooperation with merchandiser
• On time delivery
• Supplier compliance

                                        

Profile requirements:

• Willing to work in many different categories
• Electronics
• Glassware
• Plastics etc..
• Familiar with the requirements and standards of Electronic products, factory audit, and sample management
• Independent, Self-motivated, Honest, Detail-oriented and Hard-working
• Team player
• Good interpersonal skills to work with overseas buyers and vendors
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel on regular bases to factories and fairs
• Eager to learn

                                                

Experience

• 8 years working experience of which at least 2 year in a senior role working with buying offices or directly with major retailers in consumer electronics
