Essential duties and responsibilities：

• Working to attain design wins and qualifications of WD SSD and HDD in customer applications.
• Providing technical support to customers. Support includes product recommendations, technical problem resolution, and quality issue resolution.
• Working with and driving internal teams to determine the feasibility of specific new products, features and ensuring customer specifications are met.
• Identifying customer requests and providing the feedback.
• Working with customers to manage quality issues in customer manufacturing and field SSD/HDD applications.

Qualifications：

Experience with design, test, product support, or application engineering with SSD/HDD technologies (preferred more than 15 years, at least 10 years).

• Strong knowledge of SATA, SAS or PCIe interfaces, able to analyze the their bus traces.
• Strong preference towards experience with SSD/HDD or related storage applications.
• Customer interfacing experience a plus.
• Systems experience, including:
• SSD and/or HDD failure analysis
• Industry standard operating systems (installation/configuration/management)
• Device drivers & Firmware (installation/troubleshooting)
• Storage devices (installation/configuration/troubleshooting)

• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills including lab testing (oscilloscope and logic analyzer usage) and debug
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills
• The ability to be self-motivated, take initiative, and to work independently or in a team environment.
• The ability to work with engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers of various positions including executive level interaction.
• Detailed knowledge of NAND Flash.
• Quality and Reliability experience is a plus.
• Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to travel with short notice.

• Education: BSEE or MSEE
