The Senior Electronics Engineer plays a key role in innovative offers development. His / Her mission is to propose and select the best electronics architecture based on customer’s needs, cost and manufacturability. Then, he / she develops the concepts internally or with a partner, test, qualifies and follows up execution and manufacturing.

The Senior Electronics Engineer interacts daily with Marketing Managers, Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers to identify the best solutions and develop them in a timely and costly manner, while securing a high level of quality as per Schneider Electric standards.

Beyond regular electronics engineering, as a member of our Innovation organization, the Senior Electronics Engineer is expected to propose new ideas, projects or improvements to differentiate from existing products on market.

Main missions :

Creation of functional concepts, review and selection of the concept, Design considering economic aspects

Contribution and development of product specification based of the offer requirements.

Autonomous cost calculation of concepts and function principle

Creation of test specification and conducting verification test

Validation of engineering samples and products

Support of test lab for validation and certification process

Creation of all relevant documentation for components, assemblies and products (e.g. BOM, drawings, specification, material selection)

The position is based in Nanshan district in Shenzhen, China. And reports to the Director of Wiring Devices Innovation Center.

Qualifications:

- Practical experience in design of 3D/2D components/assembly, PCBA design

- Knowledge in power electronics, power supply design, wireless technologies, mechatronics.

- Knowledge in electrical contacts, materials and plug formats.

- Practical knowledge in Verification and Validation of electronics products and components

- Advanced communication and negotiation skills

- Advanced English language

- Ability to work cross functionally with other departments

- Knowledge in Word, Excel, Powerpoint

- Ability to understand and challenge stakeholders for electronics firmware design and mechanical design to achieve global design optimization

- Successful experiences in product development of electrical and/or electronics products in an international environment. 10+ years of experience expected
