(Why the position exists)

This position is reporting to the Offer Development Manager and is
responsible for the Android Device development and liaison with relevant
parties is responsible for the planning, coordination, timely development of software, maintenance
of design document with relevant parties (internal and external) in order to
successfully maintain existing and create new solutions to industry leading
standards.

This role also
involves maintaining existing designs, products evolution and supporting technical queries from product
management, internal, external customers and suppliers.

(What are the expected contributions
of the position to the results of the organization)

This is an important role within the
engineering function, with specific responsibility for the design and
development of new products and the support of existing products. The role should be able to drive from requirement analysis,
architecture design to technical document &product delivery.

This position is generally autonomous and
requires independent design ability and effective communication within the
team, with other teams within the R&D function and more broadly with
various departments within the local entity.

The role is more in technical
contribution than leadership.
Percentage is around 70/30.

Qualifications:

Education:

Essential

·
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science,
EE or similar

Desirable

·
Master degree or above in Computer
Science/EE or related major

·
Basic knowledge of leadership, for
example, delegation, coaching

Job Related Experience:

Essential:

·
5+
years embedded Linux firmware development experience &
coding with C/C++

·
3+
years embedded Android firmware development experience &
coding with Java

·
Familiar with Android
architecture, HAL and JNI

·
Solid experience in Agile, Git
& similar development tools and facilitating Scrum Master

·
Knowledge of general digital
communication protocols (ie. TCP/IP, RS485, Bus system ...)

·
Experience with development
products following PMP concept & design review process

Desirable

·
Experience in development of video door phone system

·
Experience with APP development

Business Understanding:

Interaction with internal and external
customers, liaison across multiple functional areas.

Others (e.g. language skills,
technical skills):

·
Good communication skills with all levels of the organization

·
Solid experience with firmware
development life cycle including version control & bug tracking tools

·
Solid experience of
product specification, documentation and development, preferably in a Product
Engineering environment

·
Open
minded, proactive & willing to take challenge
