Position Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible to follow up on all steps to manage the timeline for each sourcing project and any product development required. The assistant will complete the detail work with factories in terms of profiles, quotes and manufacturing evaluation. Maintain open effective communications with the merchandising teams in the retail purchasing offices.

Reports to: Product Manager

Job Responsibility

1) Assist the product manager in sourcing within Asia including factory identification and evaluation. Manage the detailed procedural steps involved in sourcing product.

2) Work with factories to establish a high quality standard for packaging material for each product.

3) Complete bill of material details with factory for required products.

4) Explain to the supplier purchasing agreements and assist factories in filling out the paperwork.

5) Work with quality department to establish technical spec for all private label products.

6) Organize the movement of all product samples for buying review.

Position Requirement

At least 3 years of experience in sourcing product for export companies

Experience in detailed project management and working with teams located in international locations.
