Position: R&D Manager

Location: Guangdong

Company information:

Our client is a foreign company， focuses on home appliance products.

Responsibilities:

• Wholly responsible for the overall performance and results of the R&D Category Teams (Coffee and Home), and delivering products in line with the New Product Development (NPD) Road Map.
• Support brand HQs in the industrialization of Coffee and Home products they develop for manufacture.
• R&D Department budget administration and control.
• Development of the R&D Coffee and Home Teams to raise their skills and capabilities, capacity, and professional approach to product development and improvements; so they are recognized as a Centre of Competence for specified product categories within the Group.
• Development and implementation of Engineering Design and Development strategy in conjunction with Technical Operations Director (Asia) and R&D Manager (Food Preparation).
• In collaboration with R&D Manager (Food Preparation) the development and implementation of best engineering practices, systems, methodologies, and improvement initiatives across the whole R&D Department.

Requirements:

• Applicable degree in Engineering.
• Mechanical background, prefer coffee maker experience.
• 20+ years’ experience in an engineering product development role (working for a major household appliance manufacturer).
• Experience working in an international organization
• Competent in use of proprietary 2D and 3D design software
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Knowledge of use of other applicable software tools such as finite element analysis, fluid flow analysis, embedded hardware & software, etc.
• Competent in use of applicable design technology such as rapid prototyping equipment, specialized test equipment, etc.
• 10+ years people management experience for big size team.
