Come join our exciting, fast paced team and help manage various Silicon and Memory categories for one of the fastest growing hardware companies in the world. The Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for managing spend covering all raw materials, from individual components on a PCB, to the final consumer end product. The team owns the commercial growth strategy and business relationships with all suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers. The sourcing team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain.

We are seeking an experienced Global Supply Manager (GSM) based in Asia that wants to be on the ground floor of breakthrough technology and the construction of a world-class supply chain. This individual will be a critical member of the team managing the supply chain for SOCs, sensors, NAND, DRAM, IMUs, and other Silicon technologies. They will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, and Program Management during product development, ramp up and mass production to ensure the successful product launch.

Responsibilities

·  Negotiate and execute supply contracts and other critical agreements including but not limited to Master Supply Agreements, SOWs, etc.

· Assist with strategic supplier relationships with critical Silicon partners and Asia-based distribution partners

· Subject matter expert in commodity cost profiles and should cost models

· Assist with Supplier QBR process focused on exceeding KPI’s and continuous performance improvement.

· Influence supplier technology roadmaps and create internal disruptive value-add to ensure system architecture and commercial requirements are met

· Continually benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated into the AR/VR supply chain

· Contribute to initiatives which ensure our commodity suppliers are proactively providing input into new product designs and supply chain efficiency

· Assist with supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, and help to drive final supplier selection

· Initiate and lead ongoing Cost Reduction programs to ensure the lowest possible total cost, including product cost, transportation cost, inventory cost, and cost of quality

· Formulate contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges, long lead time, single source, and any supply issue

· Create and manage forecasts for Silicon and Memory technologies from prototype phase through mass production

· Institute programs to optimize schedule flexibility while minimizing excess inventory exposure

· Work with Supply Base Engineering, MPMs, Distributors, and our CM partners to avoid any potential part shortages or quality problems which are affecting production schedules

Minimum Qualifications

· 5+ years of work experience leading mass production ramp up of Asia-based silicon, memory, and semiconductor supply chain in high-volume, consumer-electronics industry

· Experience negotiating supply and logistics agreements

· Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, and supply base management

· Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills

· English and Mandarin fluency

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills including command of Microsoft Excel; particularly the creation and management of component forecast files

· Accustomed to working on high-pressure projects with tight schedules

· Able to travel frequently within China and Asia as needed

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or Master of Electrical Engineering

· 7+ years of work experience in leading mass production ramp up of Asia-based silicon, memory, and semiconductor supply chain in high-volume, consumer-electronics industry

· Experience with communicating to and influencing all levels of management

· Deep experience managing masked pricing and rebates through Asia-based distribution channels
