Responsibilities

• Supporting end to end, inbound/ Outbound processes and record-keeping
• Managing import/export data and documentation
• Ensuring timely clearance of shipments for both import and export handling
• Validating adherence to customs best practices.
• Maintaining broker, client, internal communications
• Responding to customs queries and requests for additional information

• Determine & maintain appropriate import/export classifications (Harmonized Tariff Schedule, duty rates,  Partner Government Agency requirements) as needed
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments for regulatory compliance, clearance, and delivery
• Review and validate all entry declarations for accuracy, duty mitigation, valuation, preferential treatment.
• Participate in import/export compliance reviews to drive broker accountability and importer/exporter compliance.
• Respond to, triage, and resolve complex customer inquiries to accelerate inbound & outbound cross-border transportation.
• Oversee daily brokerage activities on all shipments.
• Actively assist with the identification of export requirements
• Collaborate with all Trade, Fulfillment and Channel operations, Security, Reverse Logistics and Research teams to facilitate import and export operations.
• Perform required record-keeping activities to support the Accounting and Finance teams
• Support Logistics end to end for all China imports and exports, working closely with the Asia logistics team
• Work closely with the ARVR Trade, Logistics, and fulfillment teams to support the implementation of a Regulatory Compliance Program.

Qualifications:

• Five+ years working experience in global trade compliance with a strong China/Asia logistics driven focus and practical problem-solving expertise
• Customs brokerage practical exposure and experience
• Experience with applying customs regulations throughout the supply chain.
• Exposure to FTZs and special economic zones.
• Strong experience with China Customs regulations, import processing, broker compliance, and valuation related to production and consumer supply chains
• Working experience with Strategic Goods
• Practical experience with processing import entries, understanding and navigating e-debit account, and China new customs initiatives
• Employs personal judgment and initiative to develop constructive solutions to challenges in export activities and procedures; not afraid to challenge the status quo
• Data analysis skills are a MUST
• Excellent ENGLISH oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Available to work across time zones (mainly with the US)
