PRIMARY/Secondary RESPONSABILITIES

Warehouse:

Design and optimize an efficient and accurate warehouse operation.

Secure high-quality inventory accuracy.

Manage goods receiving.
Support internal customers, mainly production, with material availability for the production to run smoothly

Distribution:

Manage forwarders and transportation companies to ensure on time delivery to customers at acceptable cost, domestic as well as international.

Manage forwarders and transportation companies for import and domestic incoming deliveries

Handle Customs clearance and other documentation for export and import

Manage goods dispatch.

INTERFACES (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL)

Internal: Sourcing & Supply, Quality, Production

External: Suppliers and customers and their forwarding companies as well as our third-party service providers for warehousing, distribution and transportation. Customs offices.

PROCESS OWNERSHIP

Incoming goods and Outbound dispatch

People Management

Lead and develop direct reports within Warehousing and Distribution.
Member of local site management team.

Financial Responsibility

Budget and follow up of local Warehousing and Distribution functional budget.

Inventory accuracy and forwarding and transportation cost follow up and pricing negotiations.

KEY COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Extensive experience from Warehousing and Distribution work and preferably 2-5 years’ experience from managing staff

Experience from setting up and running efficient Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Experience from the automotive industry is a plus
Excellent communication skills
People management, Solution oriented

Team player

Act as leader for Warehousing and Distribution function within approved budget and in line with company policies and values.
