Quality Assurance Manager

 

 General purpose

  

• To evaluate BILTEMA products at different stages of product approval process

• Perform sample approval process with Purchasing team

• Conduct factory audit according to established audit criteria to ensure appropriate quality management system, production capacity and technical capability of factories producing BILTEMA products

      

Field of responsibility

  

• Fundamental geographical responsibility in the employed country, with ad-hoc tasks in other countries which assigned by the company

• Ensure that factories and products meet BILTEMA technical/quality specifications and product requirements

• Apply appropriate instructions as mentioned in the company quality and purchasing policies

• Other additional responsibilities as assigned by the company

        

Tasks and duties

  

• Deliver all quality and technical aspects from product development, pre-production to final production which must be in line with the company Quality management system and Quality policy

• Always ensure products meet the required quality, legal and safety requirements, fit for its intended purpose and to meet customer expectations

• Ensure products delivered with no quality incident under due diligence approach at destination

• Maintain constructive working relationship with related internal and external stakeholders in Asia and BILTEMA

• Ensure suppliers understand BILTEMA product and quality requirements

• Ensure product approval, sample sealing and timeliness adhere to the Critical Path defined by BILTEMA Product Manager, Quality Specialist, Purchasing Manager and suppliers

• Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action process for customer returns and claim cases

• Perform factory audit according to Factory Competency Assessment (FCA) for supplier approval

• Review and evaluate supplier quality performance, CAPA (Corrective-And-Preventive-Action) response for inspection failures, and to identify process improvement opportunities with suppliers

• Ensure all quality incidents, escalations and continuous improvements are diligently managed and followed up

• Perform product risk assessment and to evaluate validity of product test reports

• Support buying trips and supplier selection process, when needed

• Inspect products on the behalf of company before delivery, when needed

• Perform random visits at supplier’s premises to review and report their quality performance

• Ensure expected quality of items, packing and artwork fulfill BILTEMA product requirements

• Other additional tasks and duties as assigned by the company case by case.

                               

   Requirements

    

• University / College degree in Manufacturing / Engineering / Science degree is preferred

• 3-5 years related QA experience in sourcing office or laboratory environment

• Good knowledge of quality management system, factory technical / quality audit, EU test requirements and manufacturing processes

• Product risk assessment training is preferred

• Excellent communication skills and good commercial awareness

• Robust personality able to work under pressure and make right decision

• Competent in problem solving and root cause analysis

• Sound technical knowledge and skills in General Merchandise / Bike / Toys / Car Accessories

• Familiar with EU legislation and requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin

• Travel is required within China and Asia
