SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Project Manager (Program Management) plans, leads, organizes, and motivates teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value. The Project Manager’s primary role is to lead project teams to successfully develop and deliver new products to the market. Additional responsibilities include managing sustaining and cost reduction projects. The Proj Manager will be working with cross functional teams across all categories to gather, define, and establish project plans for all new product development and other company initiatives. They will create and manage tasks communication, resource allocation, and program timelines. They will ensure project teammates are provided with all requirements and resources to complete projects on time and will manage change of projects and the organization (the people side of change). They may work with external implementation partners to ensure programs or tasks are executed according to briefs and strategies.

    

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    

• Manage New Product Development (NPD) projects, Sustaining, and Cost Productivity projects, thru full Project Life Cycle; ensuring key milestones are met while processes are followed and deliverables are met

• Ability to evaluate and communicate risk and impact on projects and programs.

        

· Work directly with RSC teams to understand and document project/task objectives, resource requirements, scope and cost estimates for projects.

    

· Be the hub of communication for projects – regular contact with internal and external partners, as needed.

    

· Encourage and facilitate collaboration.

    

· Coordinate with the Category Management and Engineering Departments to create New Product concepts which support brand and category objectives to increase top line revenue and contribution margins.

    

· Coordinate between Supplier Management, Project Team, and GMO to review quotations for accuracy.

    

· Act as a point of contact between RSC and Contract Manufacturers to facilitate and enhance communications and relationships.

    

· Be firm but fair in judgement: push back when scope creeps or suggested timeframes/budgets are unrealistic while understanding the goals of the stakeholders.

    

• Be engaged and aware of RSC Goals and Strategies.

    

· Be positive and a force for good in the team – even when faced with difficult problems. Be solutions focused. Be ok with change.

    

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Four-year College/University degree in Human Sciences, Marketing, Engineering, or another relevant field.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience, digital environment experience preferred
• Experience using project management tools, Microsoft Project and JIRA experience preferred
• Understanding of project management methodologies and practices
• Experience working with remote and global teammates
• Experience managing and negotiating with external partners

· Analytical and critical thinking skills; Identify key barriers/core problems and apply problem-solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations.

• Demonstrate strong desire to learn and grow

· Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

o For US office – English is mandatory, Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

o For Chinese office – English and Mandarin Chinese are both mandatory

· Is willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally around to 10%-20%.
