Position: Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Acting as a quality person at a factory (located at Conghua District, Guangzhou)to oversight manufacturing process with focus of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Reliability of a robot production line, reporting to Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain in United States.

Tasks

• Manufacturing support and instruct as required to factory quality team.
• Identify root cause and help developing corrective action as well as investigate and troubleshoot product and production issues. 
• Audit, full inspection as needed, factory inspection and testing of production finished products, subassemblies, components, processes, and comparing against predefined standards. 
• Ensure finished product units are produced according to company (Embodied) quality expectations before shipment.
• Support Embodied quality objectives and identify, explain and resolve quality issues to safeguard product specifications and quality standards are met. 
• Build and execute plans for quality control to ensure consistency in manufacturing continuity and product conformance.
• Proactively review and improve factory systems and processes to ensure and maintain quality standards.
• Participating factory MRB (Material Review Board) review and analyze non-conforming materials.
• Develop proper metrics to monitor factory SOP processes effectiveness.
• Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
• Working closely with manufacturing staffs to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is correctly maintained.
• Become an expert in operating jigs and fixtures of all test stations for validate and qualify Embodied product.   
• Daily communication and collaboration with Embodied US team on quality and technical issues occurring at the factory. 
• Collect and provide manufacturing data to support decision-making for Embodied US team
• Must be able to travel to factory at any time when production taking place.

Skills and experience:

• 3 years plus experience in manufacturing quality control, industrial ISOs practice and quality standards
• Degree in quality or relevant technical degrees in hardware engineering
• Certified quality engineer preferred
• Must be able to read drawings
• Quality skill in 8D, FEMA, AQL, process control plan, First article samples inspection, APOP, PPAP
• Knowledge in safety and regulatory regulations 
• Quality report preparations
• Must speak and write English fluently
• Proven experience in supplier quality system audit and process audit
• Good organizational skill and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently without supervision
