As a Quality Control (QC) Inspector you will be mainly responsible for conducting inspections for products and packages, conducting factory audits, resolving quality issues, and follow up quality improvement projects with suppliers, to ensure quality compliance and consistency of all products and packages shipped to the customers.

This position will be required to work in alignment with internal functional teams including Quality Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics in the Shenzhen office, and you also need to communicate with suppliers for the product improvement, work with 3rd party testing labs and suppliers to arrange necessary product tests in their premises.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and report quality and compliance audits for new sourced factories;

• Define and optimize inspection protocols for various types of product categories, to ensure the products’ and packages’ CTQs have been sufficiently addressed in the inspections.

• Conduct and report inspections for products and packages in pilot production, during production, and pre-shipment, evaluate product safety, function, performances, and aesthetic quality, to ensure the products have not significant quality and damage issues before shipping out of the factories.

• Resolve the found quality issues together with suppliers;

• On-site follow up corrective actions for factory audit findings and/or for product quality issues as complained by customers, verify the effectiveness, work together with Quality Engineers to drive supplier quality improvement.

• Support QC Lead to plan factory audits, inspections and collaborate with functional teams to drive on-time delivery of shipments.

• When being requested by Quality Engineers and agreed by QC Lead, support Quality Engineer to conduct on-site product quality evaluation, tests in factories;

• Complete other tasks as assigned by QC Lead and/or Quality Director.

Essential Skills, Competencies, and Attributes:

• Education: College or above, majored in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Has certain technical knowledge about safety, performances, and quality requirements of various types of consumer products, especially household electrical appliances.
• 5+ years working experiences in quality control for household electrical appliances, hard goods, furniture, and/or other consumer products. Has basic factory audit experience.
• Familiar with Quality Inspection and Testing for consumer products, including package transit testing;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down complex problems, systematically identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work as a “partner” with various stakeholders, adept at working with and influencing both technical and commercial stakeholders;
• Fluent in written English, and can speak basic English.
• Good PC skills, including knowledge of the complete Google suite, Microsoft office applications.
• Strong adaptability under high pressure and flexibility to change. Frequent travels are needed.

Preferred:

• QMS auditor certification or registration;

• Has Supplier Quality Management background;

• Familiar with consumer products, such as household electrical appliances, furniture, hard goods, soft goods, etc..

The higher qualified candidate will be offered a Sr. QC Inspector role.
