Responsibility:

• Execute RFQs, and negotiate on price and lead time
• Supply base vendor master information upload to ERP and/or other Business System
• New supplier development & management
• Partner with Commodity Team on strategy, SRM, and integrate it into an NPI sourcing strategy
• Capital Asset Request application & kick-off of tooling if required
• Early supplier involvement with new designs & NPI stages
• Accountable to driving technical discussions with design team & supplier for DFM reviews
• Support engineering sample and prototype requirements with suppliers and manage need by dates
• Support cost reduction and analysis activities to sustain & maintain NPI model competitiveness
• Communicate any changes in design via ECO during the NPI process to suppliers
• System access: Oracle, SAP, PDM (iPro & P-Tools), SharePoint, ESQR workflow tool, SNC, Ariba, others
• Support customer audits within the supply base
• Other duties as assigned

 

Requirement:

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent.

• 3 to 5 years' purchasing experience in an engineered manufacturing company, with 3years' experience preferred in New Product Introduction.

• Excellent verbal, written, and oral presentation communication skills in English.(英文是首要考虑因素).

• Ability to look at future production volumes and translate that with a negotiation plan for direct supplier negotiations on price and lead time.

• Affinity towards recognizing technical details to optimize material properties and product manufacturability.

• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to navigate in situations with limited process constraints.

• A collaborative and approachable interpersonal style, with the ability to nurture key relationships and achieve consensus among internal stakeholders.

• Strong meeting organizational skills to result in high accountability and project progress.

• A strong self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment of a late stage start-up.

• Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of supplier cost savings.

• Proficiency at using SAP or Oracle ERP system will be a benefit.
