KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
· Considerable knowledge of all aspects of the Human Resources function with experience in compensation, job mapping and good generalist HR skills - enough to where they can operate independently with periodic check in points.
· Ability to manage the day to day operations of a small team.
· Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
· Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively with clients.
· Be able to interact with managers and employees at all levels.
· The ability to research and analyze data and ensure attention to detail.
· Be self-directed, work independently and proactively.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
· A bachelor's degree required and 8-10 years of experience is preferred, OR
· A master' degree in Human Resources Management and a minimum of five years of experience in the HR field.
· Knowledge of oil and gas industry preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee the day to day operations of the HR team to ensure that business needs are met in all aspects of the HR function including: recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, policy and process development and effective HR administration.
· Assists in the development and implementation of Human Resources programs, policies and processes including performance management, development of employee handbook, development of internal HR processes and procedures.
· Assists in development and administers standardized compensation and benefits programs.
· Provides day to day performance management and coaching to managers.
· Responds to employee relations issues.
· Assists in development of training programs and conducts employee and management training.
· Assists in development and communication of employee recognition programs.
· May assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
· Maintains compliance with local and national employment regulations.
· Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
· Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
