职位描述

POSITION
Proactively build and direct and motivate an efficient staff to meet corporate multi disciplined engineering needs. Understand product and business requirements; ensure that product-engineering department meets these requirements. Ensure that quality products are released within cost and schedule guidelines. Ensure that the engineering staff maintains and enhances their technical expertise by reading trade literature, attending trade shows, etc.

Specific responsibilities include:
? Responsible for the leading, planning and directing the electrical and software product engineering departments
? Responsible for recruiting and career development of engineering staff
? May assume a position in a technical role within the department
? Work closely with other departmental manager to coordinate engineering activities
? Work with Headquarters to create guidelines and procedures to be used within the department
? Supervise engineering staff, monitor results of work for quality and quantity, and provide support and/or disciplinary action as required
? Participate in cross-functional teams to determine project objectives, costs and schedules
? Schedule and assign projects to appropriate personnel
? Create and/or review system architecture and product specifications for accuracy and completeness
? Monitor overall operation of engineering departments for timely, accurate and completeness of results
? Coordinate 3rd party development as required
? Provide input on anticipated budget requirements for personnel and equipment allocations
? Determine department equipment and training needs
? Maintain department schedules and budget objectives
? Create and maintain status reports
? Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

? Project Management: Establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, define roles and responsibilities, acquire project resources, coordinate projects throughout company, monitor project progress, and manage multiple projects.

? Strategic Thinking/Management: Create and communicate a long-term vision, balance short and long term goals, keep own and team's work aligned with overall goals, understand the market and predict change, understand the industry and the competition, create and adjust strategic plan.

? Managing Performance: Apply clear/consistent performance standards, handle performance problems decisively and objectively, be direct but tactful, provide guidance and assistance to improve performance.

? Managing for Results: Set challenging and productive goals for team, keep team accountable for actions, provide leadership and motivation, provide resources and support, use checkpoints and data to track progress, set up systems and processes to measure results.

? Team Leadership: Anticipate and resolve conflicts, turn team diversity into an advantage, use unique team talents, define processes and goals, work for consensus

Education and Experience Requirements:
? Bachelor of Science Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
? 7 + Years of engineering experience
? 5 + Years of supervisory experience
