Job Responsibilities:

As a teaching Intern, the job holder will undertake duties in support of the work of the teaching staff of the school. The precise duties will be determined by the Head of School consistent with the main areas of responsibility set out below. Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

 

• The preparation of materials and equipment (if needed) for lessons.  Work alongside and under the guidance of the lead teacher, supporting access to students’ learning and the management of the classroom.  
• To encourage the social, emotional and personal development of each student.  Working alongside the teacher to prepare and maintain the classroom environment. Supervising the behaviour of students in the classroom and during school related activities
• To work alongside the teacher to promote and maintain a healthy and safe learning environment.
• Encourage and support students or groups of students engaged in curriculum activities.
• Clearly pass on information between parents and the teachers as required.
• To supervise and support students outside of the classroom.
• To assist in observation and record keeping as required.
• To plan and evaluate activities for the curriculum under supervision.
• To provide administrative class support as required and any other job or function given to you by the person to whom you report. 

Special conditions: 

•  Education is an ever-changing service and all staff are expected to participate constructively in 

the school’s activities and to adopt a flexible approach to their work. This job description will be reviewed annually during the appraisal process, and may be varied in the light of the needs of the school. The job description sets out the main duties of the post at the date when it was drawn up. Such duties may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or the level of responsibility entailed. Such variations are a common occurrence and cannot of themselves justify a reconsideration of the grading of the post.  

Requirements: 

• Bachelor or master's degree intern, major in education related

•  Clear communication skills 
•  Have knowledge of the appropriate curriculum 
• Excellent in language skills both in English and Chinese.
