JOB FUNCTION: Provides security, building, life, and fire safety protection to facilities, employees, visitors, executives, and responds to emergency situations, as necessary. The RSOC-CN is set up to control access, report, dispatch, and coordinate communication to necessary agencies and personnel.



JOB DUTIES

Protect employees, visitors, executives, information, and property from injury, intrusion, damage, theft, fire, equipment failure and chemical emergencies. Make notification and dispatch proper personnel to emergency situations or alarms reported or received by the Regional Security Operations Center - China (RSOC-CN)
Routinely complete RSOC-CN checklists to ensure functionality of equipment and systems. Periodically conduct status checks on facilities to ensure no alarms exist pertaining to the facility. Conduct hourly life safety checks on other officers and maintenance personnel.
Receive and act on phone calls for: 1),Employee/Customer/Dealer inquires;2),Equipment notification and recovery program;3),Emergency notifications of management and employees;4),Security, fire, and life safety emergencies.
Act as the after hour contact for the Security Manager. Provide notification for possible threat of severe weather. Coordinate communication between facility contact personnel, on site security, and emergency agencies.
Monitor fire, intrusion, protection, duress, power outages, and high priority maintenance alarms and report necessary activity or problems. Report and help resolve technical issues with equipment, doors, or systems. Demonstrate proficiency and know how to operate the systems and programs in the RSOC-CN.
Control access to facilities. Monitor video at points of entry for scene identification or facial recognition. Answer intercoms and ring down phones at points of entry.
Provide monitoring for special events including: Board of Directors meetings, fly-ins, high level visitors, dinner events, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Officer must have the ability to make mature, rational, and reasonable decisions.
Must present a professional attitude and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin. Ability to communicate in English is also preferred.
Computer skills necessary include: ability to learn new programs and systems, Microsoft Office Programs, and able to type proficiently.
Must be able to retain information and perform necessary job requirement skills as defined for your position.
Must be able to multi-task and handle stressful situations.
Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Previous security experience, familiarity with security procedures, and/or an educational background in security related disciplines are desirable.
