Wanted: Financial Controller

Passionate Senior Accounting Leader with SAP experience!

Edmund Optics China (EOC), a division of Edmund Optics Inc. (a US based Company) is a leading manufacture, supplier and distributor of optics, imaging, and photonics technology.

The company is currently recruiting a hands on Financial Controller for our China division. We are looking for a CPA, with international manufacturing and costing experience, exceptional communication skills, 15+ years of accounting and 5+ years of Controllership experience. We are in the process of converting to SAP and are also interested in candidates with SAP experience.

Duties

· Direct financial reporting, general ledger and cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing as well as banking and cash monitoring activities.

· Manage the preparation of

o Monthly and Quarterly financial review package

o Annual and Quarterly budgets and forecasts

o Annual audited financial statements

· Prepare detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, purchases and gross margin

· Ensure that accounting policies and procedures are improved, maintained and followed and essential systems are available to warrant adequate accounting controls and services.

· Manage and mentor the accounting department staff and prepare periodic performance reviews.

· Preform special accounting studies and prepare reports accordingly

· Regional Support of other EO locations and communications with other time zones

· International travel is required

· Special projects

Requirements

· Bachelor Degree in Accounting and CPA required

· International manufacturing and costing experience required

· 10+ years of accounting experience and 3+ years of controllership experience

· Proficiency in Accounting and ERP related computer programs (SAP experience preferred)

· Knowledge of all general accounting procedures and IRFS (US GAAP a plus)

· Experience in working with international subsidiaries and foreign tax issues

· Ability to create, maintain, and improve financial documents

· Strategic forecasting and budgeting experience

· Proven senior management and leadership skills and ability to manage a team of 10 or more

· Proven ability to work well with both direct reports and other colleagues within the company

· Superior analytical and Excel (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Macros etc.) skills

· Excellent communication skills, must be able to communicate in English
