Job description
IBM Mainframe System z Product Engineering (PE) provides problem determination and resolution for IBM Mainframe System z Products:
Part of IBM Worldwide PE team, supporting GCG (Greater China Group) customers;
Highest level(Level 3) of field technical support on IBM system z (mainframe) product. Work as interface of the GCG field team and the worldwide development team;
Identify pervasive problems and provide action plans to recover machines;
Provide tips, documentation, to resolve customer problems;
Work closely with the Field Project Office to resolve customer complaints by visiting key customers and provide onsite support;
Collaborate with Service Planning to develop technical or service strategies;
Become member of the IBM Worldwide PE team, receive various technical and soft skill training, and work overseas with other worldwide teams.
Required Skill:
Bachelor degree or above in Computer Engineering, Computing Science or Electronic Engineering related.
Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills;
Good at communication and teamwork;
Active learner with self motivation;
Spirit of dedication and devotion under stress;
Accept overtime and duty on day off and holidays;
Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing is a must for daily work(CET-6 or above).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in IBM mainframe products. Knowledge of IBM mainframe Product:
Experience in Technical Support.
Travel: Up to 3%; travelling 2 days per month; home on weekends
